Local health departments LHDs across the country are looking to cross-jurisdictional sharing as a way to help them more efficiently and effectively deliver public health services. The Center for Public Health Sharing, a national initiative managed by the Kansas Health Institute with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is currently supporting a learning community of 16 teams across the country, comprised of public health agencies, policymakers, their partners and key stakeholders that are collaborating to strengthen their ability to provide public health essential services, improve efficiency and control costs.

These teams are exploring how cross-jurisdictional sharing might help them fulfill their mission of protecting and promoting the health of the communities they serve.
